Introducing - The Ocicat

Ocicats are not one of the 'fashion fad' hybrids - they are a fabulous breed of spotted pedigreed cat - especially bred to look wild - with a charming temperament.

The Ocicat breed offers a cat that is 'wild and exotic' in looks but has none of the problems associated with some of the hybrid cat temperaments.

There are now many 'fashion fad' cats becoming available - those with a mix of wild cat and domestic cat blood, but these hybrids often come with their own special behavioural problems which are linked to their wild heritage.

Feline enthusiasts have always been awed by the spotted cats of the wild - the leopards, the ocelots, the cheetahs and others. Now they can own an Ocicat which offers the spotted beauty, the sleek coat, the athletic build and the hypnotic gaze of the wild cats, whilst still maintaining the charming, affectionate and predictable disposition of the domestic pedigreed cat.

This website provides information about the Ocicat as a breed, its temperament, its intelligence, its beauty. We also provide contact details for the Ocicat breeders who have Ocicat breeding cats and kittens available as well as Ocicat pet kittens.

OANZ Group Profile

We are a group of dedicated Ocicat breeders from Australia and New Zealand who have joined hands across the Tasman to support each other in strengthening and improving the Ocicat breed.

All members of the OANZ group are registered Ocicat breeders.
